The Fire Council
The Fire Council is the governing body of the Croton-on-Hudson Volunteer Fire Department. It is made up of two Wardens from each of our Five Companies, the two Assistant Fire Chiefs and the Chief of Department. Each Company also has an Alternate Warden that fills in in the absence of a Warden as needed. The Council also elects a Secretary and a Treasurer of the Council each year. Meetings are held every month at 7pm on the last Tuesday of that month, unless it falls on a Holiday, in which case it will be held the last Wednesday.
