Minor MVA on Maple Street
By CFD Staff Reporter
May 16, 2013
Shortly before 4:00 PM on Thursday afternoon, Croton's emergency services were dispatched to a three-car motor-vehicle accident on Maple Street, just west of Old Post Road South.
On arrival, CFD units were advised by CPD that an infant in one vehicle was in need of medical evaluation, and fluids were spilled from one of the cars. The crews of E118 & R18 contained the spilled fluids and swept other debris out of the roadway, while assisting with traffic and EMS.
The infant was taken to an area hospital for evaluation, and CFD companies were in service after 20 minutes. Not too long after units took up from this run, a full assignment was dispatched to the reported gas leak at a residence. Upon FD arrival, no gas leak was found and units were clear after 15 minutes.
