Small Dishwasher Fire on Amber Drive
By CFD
April 29, 2015
Just before 6:00 PM on Wednesday evening, dispatch sent a Full Department Response to a home on Amber Drive for a reported electrical fire in the kitchen.
Units arrived to find the motor in a dishwasher had malfunctioned, causing a small fire which was contained to the dishwasher itself. The crew of first-arriving Engine 119 checked the appliance and surrounding area for any extension using a Thermal Imaging camera.
With the incident being under control, Command (Car 2081, Chief Vlad) returned all units with the exception of Engine 119 at 6:15 PM, and placed all units back in service at 6:20 PM.
