| The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department's elected and appointed officers for 2013 were sworn in to office tonight in front of a standing room only crowd.
The ceremony, held at Washington Engine Firehouse, is held in conjunction with the department's annual Fire Council Meeting. It began with Chief Munson thanking every member for their dedication, and recognized the officers that are a key role in the smooth day to day operations of the department.
Also recognized were the outgoing Captains of Columbian Hook & Ladder and Washington Engine - Mark Dickey and Dave Rinaldi. Dickey will "step down" to a position of Lieutenant in his company. A nod of appreciation was also extended to Pat Calcutti, whom ever many years has retired his post as a Council Warden from Harmon Engine.
Chief Munson also commended Bill Vlad Jr. for his role as Explorer Post Captain. Over the past two years he helped the Post increase it's numbers substantially. He now serves as a Firefighter in his father's company, Harmon Engine.
Village Board Members Ann Galleli and Kevin Davis were among the guests in attendance, and Mrs. Galleli offered each Officer their "Oath of Office."
The last order of business was a presentation to Ex-Chief Phil Dinkler by Chiefs Munson and Vlad. Dinkler was presented the traditional ring given to all past Chiefs.
