Closet Fire on Mountrain Trail

At 10:48 AM on Tuesday, 60 Control dispatched a Full Assignment for the report of smoke in a house on Mountain Trail. First arriving Car 2088 (D/C P. Dinkler) reported a confirmed smoke condition and all occupants out of the home.
Engine 119 came on location and took the first-due role, securing a hydrant and sending crews inside and around the exterior to investigate. Using a Thermal Imager and old-fashioned investigating techniques, the inside crew found a small, smoldering fire in a bedroom closet.
With the assistance of manpower from TL44 & R18, the clothing that had caught fire was removed from the house and soaked down outside. A positive pressure fan was set up at the front door to vent the home of smoke and the crew checked for extension - which there was none.
The fire appeared to have started when a halogen light was left on, in close proximity to clothes on a closet shelf. Luckily the owner's family was home at the time to report the smoke condition, otherwise the situation could have been worse.
