| At 6:40 PM this chilly Wednesday night, Ossining FD found themselves operating at a fire within a two 1/2 story multi-family building on Broad Avenue. Chief Jason Lorenz (2331) reached out to 60 Control and requested the Croton FAST to the scene.
Four minutes later, with a crew of seven, Engine 119 and Car 2082 (Asst. Chief Vlad) were on the way. Ossining Command relayed to the Croton units that they had the fire knocked down and were checking for extension.
Once on scene, the crew was advised that the fire was well under control and that they should be released from the scene in short order. At 6:58 PM, just six minutes after arriving, Ossining released the nearly one dozen men from Croton.
Yesterday, the CFDFAST responded to the scene of a fire in Peekskill, keeping with the team's old motto, "The Route 9 Express." |
