At 5:30 AM on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department's FASTeam was requested to a 2nd Alarm house fire in the Continental Village Fire District in northern Cortlandt. Answering this request were Car 2082 and Engine 119.

Upon the arrival of our units, we were met by the Incident Commander who informed us that the home - setback and up a long, fairly steep and icy driveway - was heavily involved with fire and a defensive attack was being used. A short time later - just before 6:00 AM, our Tanker 10 was called to the scene due to water pressure issues.

Our units operated for just shy of two hours before returning to Croton. Luckily the family was able to escape the fast-moving flames unharmed, however the house is a total loss.
