On Wednesday 9/16/2020 at about 11:25 AM, Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department was dispatched to a reported Motor-Vehicle Fire post-collision on southbound Route 9, north of Senesqua Road. On the assignment were Engine 119, Engine 120, Rescue 18 & Utility 14.

While units were enroute, additional calls came in reporting the incident to be about two miles further to the south, below the Municipal Place overpass. Engine 119 arrived minutes later reporting a fully involved car fire and stretched a 2" attack line with the help of the Engine 120 crew. E120, arriving simultaneously, positioned to provide additional water to E119 if needed while R18 & U14 shut down all southbound traffic. An investigation revealed no collision occurred and nobody was injured.

Once the fire was extinguished, traffic was allowed to get through and all units cleared the scene 35 minutes later.
