Shortly before 11PM on Tuesday, June 9th, the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department was requested to a reported house fire with people trapped on North Malcolm Street in the Village of Ossining. Responding as the Firefighter Assist & Search Team (FASTeam) were 2081, 2082, Engine 119 and Utility 14.

Upon our arrival OFD's Bravest were knocking down fire on both floors of the home while simultaneously conducting searches for victims. One person was rescued from a ladder in the rear of the home by OFD and Ossining Police Officers and there was uncertainty of additional people still in the home.

An aggressive fire attack brought the blaze under control fairly quickly, and our members aided in opening up and checking for hot spots before being released from the scene about two hours later.
