At 11:15 PM Saturday night, the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department was called to neighboring Ossining Fire Department for a working multi-car garage fire. Car 2082 and Utility 14 - with a dozen CFD volunteers - were on scene on Elizabeth Street just minutes later.

Fire heavily damaged the four-car, nearly two story garage. Ossining's Bravest quickly contained the blaze and kept it from spreading to nearby homes.

Our members were on scene as the "FAST Company," providing support to the OFD members working the blaze. The fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes.

Croton units returned to service about 90 minutes later. Ossining FD also received Mutual Aid on scene from Briarcliff Manor Fire Department and standby coverage from Millwood Fire and Tarrytown Fire Department.
