As members were beginning their monthly FASTeam training at our Station #2, the team was dispatched to the scene of a heavily-involved structure fire in the City of Peekskill. While turning out of quarters with a full crew, we were cancelled and the assignment was given to another company.

After securing E119 in it's bay, we were then alerted to a cover assignment in Peekskill for the report of smoke in a building. Again, while pulling out of Station 2, we were cancelled as this was due to the smoke of the fire down the road.

As our members began to strip out of their gear and get back to the drill, we were once again dispatched to Peekskill, this time as a covering company at their Station 6 on Washington Street. Members then boarded the Engine for this run, while maintaining a crew with Tanker 10 in Croton. A crew of 14 stayed in Peekskill while another two dozen plus remained in Croton.

At 10:03 PM, 60 Control dispatched a "Tanker Box" for a reported electrical fire on Foster Court off of West Mount Airy Road in the Town of Cortlandt. On the initial dispatch was a full response from the CFD, plus Tankers from Millwood and Continental Village* due to the lack of hydrants in this area. Car 2082 (A/C Mansfield) requested an Engine from Ossining as the Third Due, being our E119 was still in Peekskill. Moments later, E119 was released from Peekskill and added to the local incident.

At the scene on Foster Court, the first-arriving crews of E118, E120 and T10 found an electrical malfunction in the home, with no fire. Personnel turned off power in the home and awaited the arrival of Con Edison. Command held E118 & T10, and released the remaining Croton and Mutual Aid companies. Once Con Edison arrived, they verified an issue with the electrical neutal coming in to the house and made the needed repairs.

In total, between the Peekskill coverage and incident in our own district, over 40 of Croton's Bravest came out to help their neighbors.

* - The normal assignment here is Tankers from Millwood and Yorktown, however Yorktown's T14 is currently out for maintenance.
