33rd Annual Fire Fair Recap

Kicking off this year's national Fire Prevention Week, the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department's volunteers opened our doors and welcomed the community to our 33rd annual Fire Fair.

With several fire safety activities for visitors young and old, hundreds of Croton-area residents came to our Harmon Firehouse for a day of learning about fire safety, prevention and education.

Those that took the time out of their weekend to come learn with us had the chance to earn fire truck rides upon completing the educational safety stations. Refreshments were provided by Shoprite in Croton, as they have been so gracious to do for several years now.

The volunteers of Croton EMS were also on hand, providing information about their organization and how to prevent accidents.

During the month of October, Croton's Bravest also visits the village's pre-schools and the Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School.

We look forward to seeing everyone again next year, at what will be our 34th annual Fire Fair!

Our thanks to M. Cudequest, J. Nohai and J. Powers for their photos!
