Around 7:40 PM on Monday, Ossining FD was sent to an Old Albany Post Road home in the Crotonville section of their district for a reported house fire. On the arrival of their Chief Jason Lorenz (Car 2331), he confirmed a working fire and transmitted the "10-75."

On the working fire assignment was our Engine 119 as the FAS Team and Car 2083 (A/C Colombo). Upon their arrival, the FAST stepped off the rig to handle their normal duties, while E119 laid out 900 feet of supply hose to assist OFD's Engine Companies.

With little water pressure and no nearby hydrants, Command requested Mutual Aid Tankers. On the special call were Tanker 15 from Millwood, Tanker 14 from Yorktown and our Tanker 10. Thanks to an aggressive fire attack, the fire was promptly snuffed using the tank water from the OFD Engines, and the Tankers were returned to service a short time later.

The structure involved was down a steep hill, and the fire occurred on a rather hot and humid night. Due to this, Command requested a Rehab Unit from Pleasantville EMS, a Cascade from Briarcliff and an ATV from Hawthorne FD.

All Croton Fire units returned to service around 10PM.
