On Friday afternoon, Croton's Bravest were on the scene of and handling two motor-vehicle accidents at the same time.

The first incident was dispatched around 3:20 PM, where two vehicles collided on Municipal Place at the entrance to Route 9 northbound. Car 2081, 2083 and Engine 119 handled this assignment along with Croton EMS 55B1 & 55B2 and the Ossining Paramedic 36M1.

While units were operating at the above incident, 60 Control dispatched units to another accident on Grand Street at the intersections of Wood Road and Harrison Street. Car 2081 transferred Command of the first incident to Car 2083 and responded to the new incident. Upon his arrival he reported four parties were injured and requested a total of three Ambulances to the scene. Freeing up from the first accident, CEMS 55B2 along with Ossining's 36M1 and 74A1, as well as Cortlandt 88B2 and Verplanck 83B1 handled this request.

All CFD units were clear of the first incident at 3:57 PM after the vehicles were towed away. Car 2083 and Engine 119 then responded to assist at the second incident, although E119 was returned to service as they approached the scene, as Command reported all was under control.

Croton Fire units were back in service from Grand Street at 4:25 PM. Over 20 CFD volunteers handled the two incidents.
