Croton-on-Hudson FD volunteers were called to assist Millwood FD and New Castle PD with a missing youth on Monday. Answering the call for assistance were Car 2081, Car 2083, Rescue 18 and two dozen CFD volunteers.

The 15 Year Old, whose family is part of the Millwood FD and Croton EMS, left his home off of Route 133 during the morning, prompting family, friends, Millwood FD and NCPD to start searching the area. Based on the extremely hot and humid weather, along with the fact the missing boy requires special needs, additional help was summoned to the area.

Volunteers from the Ossining, Chappaqua, Yorktown and Croton-on-Hudson Fire Departments, as well as Officers, K9 Dogs and a helicopter from Westchester County Police were brought in to help. Croton FD members helped check the area on foot, in vehicles and using ATVs.

After nearly 11 hours, the young boy was found and taken to an area hospital for evaluation, where he was expected to be released the following day.

The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department thanks all of our followers - especially on Twitter and Facebook - for helping to post photos and information regarding the missing teen. It's times like these where we really appreciate the support of our community.
