| Despite the snow cancelling our plans on Sunday the 15th, we were well received by hundreds of folks in Croton this past weekend as we brought Santa Claus around town. Through the use of special holiday magic, Santa Claus simultaneously made his rounds around Croton on three different routes. Route #1 was composed of the Station #1 Companies of Engine 118 & Tower Ladder 44. They visited the upper village, Quaker Neighborhoods and The Danish Home for the Aged. Route #2 was done by the men & women of Washington Engine Company #2, using both Engine 119 & Tanker 10. They covered the village's north end, Half Moon Bay/Discovery Cove, Mount Airy and Sky View Nursing Home. Rounding out the three Santa performance was the companies of Harmon Firehouse, using Engine 120 and Rescue 18. These units covered the Harmon/Croton south end, ShopRite, CVS and Croton Commons Shopping Centers. Seeing so many happy faces and posing for literally hundreds of photos was a nice reminder of why we do this every year. So, thank you Croton, we will see you next year! Thanks to CFD photographers A. Roosa, D. Kreilsheimer, J. Powers, G. Ingalls & M. Pucci. If anyone has photos they would like to share with us, feel free to send them to us at info@crotonfd.org. |
