At about 2:30 PM, Croton Fire and EMS were dispatched to the area of 148 Grand Street for a reported Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries. Within minutes, Assistant Chief Vlad (Car 2082), Deputy Chief Frank Streany (Car 2086) along with Engine 118 and Rescue 18 arrived on scene. They discovered a two car accident with one patient still in the vehicle with head and back pain, and the subject in the other vehicle out of the car and unharmed.

Car 2086 and Engine 118 blocked traffic from the intersection of Grand St. and Mt. Airy Road while Rescue 18 blocked traffic from the intersection of Old Post Road South and Grand St. (The Dummy Light). Other CFD personnel assisted Croton EMS with the removal of the patient, and disabled the two vehicles' batteries. Croton Fire units remained on scene until the vehicles were towed and the roadway was clear.

Car 2082 placed all CFD units in service around 3:00 PM. Your Croton-on-Hudson FD answered the call with more than a dozen volunteers.
