At 6:22 this morning, Croton Fire was dispatched to the Westchester Industrial Complex on Albany Post Road in Buchanan, where crews located a fire within the older, larger complex.

Buchanan FD was dispatched for an activated fire alarm and arrived finding smoke from multiple locations. They then added an Engine from Verplanck and Tower Ladder from Montrose to the Box. Once the fire was located, using Thermal Imagers, Command struck the "10-75," bringing our Engine 119 and the Montrose VAFD as FAST companies.

Crews had fire in a storage container within the deep, nearly floor to ceiling shelves of the storage facility. The fire was kept in check and extinguished in short order. Montorse & Verplanck members assisted BFD with knocking down the fire and venting the building of smoke. The CFD stood by with a team of 6 members, along with the crew of E225 until released around 7:45 AM.

Sprinklers, as well as the quick work of Buchanan firefighters, can be credited for the fire causing very minimal damage.
