On Sunday evening, the Harmon Engine Company No. 3 recognized two of their three senior-most members for reaching - and surpassing - 50 years of service. These honorees were Past Captains Pat Calcutti, who joined in November 1964, and Harold Lockwood, who became a member in April 1963.

Over the years, much has changed at Harmon Engine - a new firehouse, new apparatus and plenty of new faces - but one thing has remained unchanged - the presence and continued dedication of these two men. Despite being a part of the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department for over 50 years, they both continue to be key members of their company, and are a familiar sight on the scene of emergencies time after time.

Emceeing the evening's event was Past Chief Bill Vlad, who was joined by Officers and Members of Harmon Engine, Assistant Chiefs Colombo and Pesavento and the Mayor of Croton, Dr. Gregory Schmidt, paying tribute to Mr. Calcutti and Mr. Lockwood. Close to fifty friends, family and CFD members were on hand for the ceremony at Harmon Firehouse.

It's men like this that have always been there to lead and cultivate new and younger members, and for that, the entire department is eternally grateful for their dedication and commitment.
