Tanker to Briarcliff Brush Pile Fire
By CFD 912
February 3, 2015
Tanker 10 was requested Mutual Aid to Briarcliff this afternoon to help extinguish a large mulch/brush fire. Some ninety seconds after dispatch, Car 2083 and Tanker 10 were on the road.
On arrival, Tanker 10 assisted Briarcliff's Engine 93 with setting up for a nursing operation. Along with Millwood's Tanker 15, T10 fed E93 who was supplying water to the elevated platfrom of Ossining's Tower Ladder 42. Working together with an excavator, the pile was pulled apart and water was used to dull the flames.
T10 and T15 delivered a combined total of around 25,000 gallons of water to the scene from a hydrant down the street.
Croton FD units were back in service just before 6:00 PM.
