The department extends our appreciation to the officers that served their companies in 2014. The outgoing Captains are Phil Dinkler from Chemical Engine, Mike Feminella from Washington Engine, Mike Pellet from the Ladder Company and Steve Goe from Fire Patrol.
Also stepping down are Lieutenants Joe Kempter and Art Roosa III from Washington Engine and Dan Vlad from Harmon Engine. Mike Burrows has stepped down as the Engineer of Marine 12, a post he held for a number of years.
This year was the sixth time that Chief Vlad took the oath of office as Chief of our department. No other member has held this position that many times, and for this we thank him for his six years as Chief - and another twelve years as an Assistant Chief. He has spent eighteen of the past 23 years as a Chief of this department - which is quite a feat!
Congratulations to all of the new and returning Officers, you make us proud!
