August 10, 2014
At 10:45 PM on Sunday, Croton Fire, EMS and Police were summoned to southbound Route 9 on the village's north end for a reported Motor-Vehicle Accident.
Upon arrival of Car 2081 (Chief Vlad), he reported a minor accident and was holding Engine 119 only, and returned Engine 120 and Rescue 18.
The incident involved a vehicle traveling southbound that struck a stopped DOT contractor that was painting lines on the pavement.
Once the tow truck arrived and removed the vehicle, and the line-painting truck was able to move again, all units cleared the highway at 11:15 PM. No injuries occurred to any parties involved.
